Terry Ruth Lindemann
Terry has been our executive director since August of 2005. She is responsible for the operations of the Day Center and staff and closely works with our congregational volunteers in our interfaith shelter network. Terry has a professional background in medical office/business administration. Having served on the board of directors for Lutheran Border Concern in San Diego County combined with her ministry outreach work in Las Vegas prepared her to lead our team of interfaith volunteers and staff. Terry is committed to building community partnerships and working with our Committee on Homelessness to create and implement the regional plan to end homelessness for all families. Terry and her family moved from San Diego, California to Nevada in 1982 and proudly calls Clark County her “home”.
Barbara Coggins is the Program Manager for our HUD Supportive Housing Program . She has been with Family Promise of Las Vegas since 2005. She is a native of Chicago, Illinois and attended the University of Illinois where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science; a Master’s in Education; and a Master’s Degree in Counseling from The University of Phoenix. Barbara came to Las Vegas to teach for the Clark County School District. While teaching, she also worked part-time with Family Promise as the IHN Case Manager.

Randy Mitchell - President
Randy lives in Henderson, Nevada. He has two grown children, both living and working in the Henderson/Las Vegas metropolitan area. Randy is retired from Southwest Gas Corporation after 28 years of service. While at Southwest Gas he worked in the Accounting, Revenue Requirements, and Demand Planning departments. Randy’s education includes a Bachelor of Liberal Arts, a Bachelor of Science, and Masters of Business Administration degrees. If asked to describe how he spends his days as a retiree, he would say that his favorite activities are traveling, exercising, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Randy believes in the Family Promise mission of providing compassion, care, and hope to homeless families. He is honored to serve on the board of Family Promise of Las Vegas.
Lisa Jones – Vice President
Lisa is a strong believer in education and wants to see children have the best possible chance to succeed. Lisa holds a BA degree in Microbiology from the University of Colorado and a Masters in Public Administration from UNLV. She is retired from a 30-year career in public health with the Nevada State Health Division. Lisa joined the board of Family Promise in 2009. Additionally, she serves on the board of the Perry Foundation, a non-profit organization providing educational programs for long-term healthcare providers. She is also a coordinator for the Nevada Senior Games. Lisa is an avid tennis player and cyclist, loves to sew and read.
Rashmi Kumar – Secretary
Rashmi Kumar holds a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from UNLV and currently works for HealthCare Partners Nevada. Rashmi has lived and worked in Las Vegas since 1992, graduated from Bonanza High School in 1994 and UNLV in 2000. Rashmi’s experience has been gained through working in the healthcare, gaming and banking sectors during her career. Joining the board of Family Promise in August 2013, Rashmi looks forward to serving the mission of Family Promise of Las Vegas.
Bill Beattie holds bachelor’s degrees in Mass Communications and Secondary Education as well as a MA in Educational Leadership. He is currently working as a Psychology and Video productions teacher at Arbor View High School in the Clark County School District.
Dottie Korkosz has a BA degree in Social Work and English from Valparaiso University. She has lived in the Las Vegas area since 1979 and owns her own media buying service. Dottie has volunteered in the Family Promise program many years at her church, Community Lutheran Church, and joined the Board of Directors in 2016. She believes that Family Promise provides an invaluable service to the Las Vegas community by bringing stability and hope to homeless families.
Marissa Metevelis holds a bachelor’s degree in Special Education as well as a Master’s degress in Youth and Family Ministry from Luther Seminary. She is currently working as a teacher at Helen J. Stewart School for students with Intellectual disabilities. She also works as the youth minister at Reformation Lutheran Church in the downtown area and networks with other youth leaders on a monthly basis.
Claudia is the Finance Manager for The Crossing, a Christian Church, since 2014. Previously she was the Chief Financial Officer for Templeton Development Corporation, a real estate development and construction company, for 17 years. She received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Northern Illinois University. Claudia is committed to the mission of Family Promise of Las Vegas and is honored to serve on it’s board since 2007.
