This week alone, we were at job fairs with clients, organized bike giveaways, celebrated families exiting our programs into sustainable housing, and welcomed new families into our various services. A common question we hear around town is, “What does Family Promise do?” That’s the question Marisa, our Executive Director, is answering below at Circa Casino during an event earlier this month—where we were generously gifted 20 bicycles to pass along to families we serve.
So here is a question for you: what would you say if someone asked you about Family Promise of Las Vegas? Here is a quick and succinct way that you can answer that question:
Family Promise of Las Vegas helps families with children move from homelessness to stability. We provide housing-focused services such as emergency motel shelter, rental and utility assistance, workforce support, and intensive case management. By walking alongside families and working closely with landlords and community partners, we help parents regain income, secure housing, and remain housed—reducing the risk of repeated homelessness across our community. For 29 years, we have been empowering families to achieve sustainable independence.
In 2025, Family Promise of Las Vegas delivered more than 13,657 direct services to families experiencing or at risk of homelessness. These services included housing stabilization, case management, childcare support, food assistance, workforce development, and other critical interventions—each one meeting families at an important moment on their journey toward stability. Thank you so much for supporting our Homeless No More Challenge. Because of your generosity, 33 donors doubled their impact, raising a total of $24,595 to provide direct services for families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
