Dear Martin,

Last month we shared Priscilla and Jessica’s Stories. The keychain that Priscilla chose upon exiting the program and achieving sustainable housing said simply:

“Home.”

If you squint on the below picture you can see! The key chain that Jessica chose was,

“Your struggle doesn’t define your future.”

Dulce’s Story: Held by Grace

This month, we had a special visit from someone who was part of Family Promise years ago—back when our program operated through a network of local congregations.

At that time, families would stay at churches like The Crossing, Holy Spirit Lutheran, Grace in the Desert Episcopal Church, Community Lutheran, Midbar Kodesh, Mountain View Presbyterian, Christ the Servant Lutheran, Congregation Ner Tamid, St. Viator Catholic, Grace Presbyterian, Boulder City United Methodist Church, Epiphany Episcopal Church, Saint Joseph Husband of Mary, Christ the King Catholic and more! Every week or two, they would move to a new location. Along the way, volunteers prepared meals, offered encouragement, and walked alongside families through classes on financial literacy, employment, and more.

Dulce was one of those families.

Her story is one of remarkable transformation—a testimony to the faithfulness of these congregations, and to her own perseverance, strength, and grace as she navigated that season with her daughter.

Today, Dulce is thriving. She recently returned to visit and share her story—and even wrote a book about her journey, Held by Grace, available in both English and Spanish on Amazon. Watch Dulce’s story below:

Family Promise Giving Day

The 7th Annual Family Promise Giving Day is just one week away.

This is a 24-hour opportunity to help families move from crisis to a place they can finally call home. Because of generous supporters, we have a $10,000 matching gift—which means every dollar given will be doubled up to $10,000! There are a few simple ways you can be part of this:

If you’re willing to help in any of these ways, simply reply to this email or reach out to martin@fplv.org

Family Promise Giving Day 2026

Annual Impact Report

Over the past 29 years, we have promised to love, care for, and serve thousands of families with minor children who are on the verge of homelessness or experiencing homelessness. We have kept that promise by becoming more than just a place to find shelter and safety. From January 1st, 2025, to December 31, 2025, Family Promise of Las Vegas served 206 families (643 individuals) through the Bridge to Home program, providing well over 17,000 nights of shelter for families going through an emergency. Additionally, we served 105 families (323 individuals) through Prevention and Stabilization Services for families who were about to be evicted. Our employment services team helped 94 individuals find jobs. As a result of comprehensive case management, resource navigation, and family-centered support—and 13,657 recorded services—89% of families transitioned into stable, independent housing!
