Grand Opening of the Credit One Bank Family Navigation Center

One week from today is the moment many of us have been waiting for for years.

The Grand Opening of the Family Navigation Center represents a once-in-a-generation milestone for Family Promise of Las Vegas. What began nearly three decades ago as families sleeping on the floors of congregations has now grown into a permanent, purpose-built facility designed to keep families together and on the path to stability. This new Center embodies the vision of a community united—faith leaders, businesses, and individuals—working hand in hand to ensure that no child in Southern Nevada has to face homelessness alone.

Our roots are deeply interwoven with local congregations. In the early years, churches and synagogues offered their spaces as overnight shelters, providing meals, hospitality, and hope for families with nowhere else to turn. Today, while we now celebrate the blessing of our own dedicated facility, congregations remain at the heart of our work. Through the Just Neighbors program, they continue to surround families with care and practical support—proving that our faith-based beginnings are not just history but an active, living legacy.

We are honored to recognize the congregations that have walked alongside us in this journey. This is a celebration of your faithfulness! These congregations include The Crossing Christian Church, Boulder City United Methodist, Christ Church Episcopal, Christ the King Catholic, Christ the Servant Lutheran, Community Lutheran, Congregation Ner Tamid, Desert Spring United Methodist, Epiphany Episcopal, First Good Shepherd Lutheran, First Henderson United Methodist, Grace Community Church, Grace Presbyterian, Grace in the Desert Episcopal, Holy Spirit Catholic, Holy Spirit Lutheran, Midbar Kodesh Temple, Mountain View Presbyterian, Living Hope Lutheran, St. Christopher’s Episcopal, St. Joseph Husband of Mary, St. Thomas More Catholic, St. Viator Catholic, and Good Samaritan Lutheran at the Lakes.

A Dedication

Before we cut the ribbon on the Family Navigation Center, we celebrate not only a new building but the faithfulness of those who have carried this mission forward for nearly three decades. From gymnasium floors to a $14 million permanent home, the heart of Family Promise has remained the same: families deserve to stay together, to be surrounded by dignity and community support, and to find pathways back to independence.  Many of our church partners will kick of our Grand Opening in one week from today from 8:00-8:45am with a time of prayer with our Congregation Partners.

This Grand Opening is both a culmination of years of prayer, service, and generosity—and a call to the future, where churches, businesses, and neighbors will continue to walk alongside families in need.
