As we close out 2025, I’ve been reflecting on what an extraordinary year it has been for Family Promise of Las Vegas. It would not be possible without your support!

Family Navigation Center Award for Catalytic Place

One of the most meaningful milestones this year was the Grand Opening of our Family Navigation Center. More than 280 community members attended, and we were honored to recognize 113 organizations that have helped shape this work. Just weeks later, the Navigation Center received the Urban Land Institute’s Placemaking Award for a Catalytic Place, recognizing projects that spark transformation and strengthen communities. This award affirms what we see every day: the Navigation Center is far more than a building. With micro-apartments, shared space, and wraparound services, it is a place where families rebuild stability, dignity, and hope—together.

Holiday Party

This past Saturday, we served 30 families at our holiday celebration with toys and an experience they won’t soon forget, and we will serve many more in the coming weeks. Everyone loved the photo booth! The images you see above and below capture the joy, connection, and community. Throughout the year, we continue to serve more than 170 unduplicated families annually, always working backward from one clear objective: helping families to achieve their goal of sustainable housing. Last year, an astounding 91% of families reached that goal. Our case managers serve as coaches and advocates, walking alongside families while holding them accountable to their own goals and benchmarks for progress, providing targeted support. Sherry, Ms. Guy, and Caitlin

We have a lot of families that are achieving their goal of sustainable housing. Sherry is a single mother of four at the Family Navigation Center who recently secured a great job at Caesars Palace—one that works with her family’s schedule and provides a livable wage that will set her up for her next step. Another success story is Ms. Guy, a hardworking single mother of three. She entered our Motel Shelter Program while juggling part-time work and childcare, facing significant barriers including the need for full-time employment and the challenge of securing housing with a past eviction on her record. Through her perseverance and the support of our team, she secured full-time employment within 60 days while continuing her part-time job, and—through partnership with Advanced Management Group—was approved for a safe, stable apartment. Family Promise assisted with her security deposit and first month’s rent, helping her family quickly transition into permanent housing, where they are now thriving. Caitlin, similarly, enrolled in our Motel Shelter Program with her grandchild after being referred by a partner agency. Although she had steady income, she struggled to find affordable, sustainable housing. With consistent case management, housing resources, and connections to our property management partners, Caitlin secured an apartment that fit her budget, and Family Promise assisted with her first month’s rent to ensure a smooth transition. In moments like these, families often tell us Family Promise was “heaven sent,” expressing gratitude for the support that helped transform uncertainty into stability.

We feel the same way about you. As supporters and advocates, we are grateful for your partnership.
Thank you for believing in this work!

With gratitude,

Martin Malmberg
