Terry Ruth Lindemann

Terry has been our executive director since August of 2004. She is responsible for the operations of the Day Center and staff and closely works with our congregational volunteers in our interfaith shelter network. Terry has a professional background in medical office/business administration. Having served on the board of directors for Lutheran Border Concern in San Diego County combined with her ministry outreach work in Las Vegas prepared her to lead our team of interfaith volunteers and staff. Terry is committed to building community partnerships and working with our Committee on Homelessness to create and implement the regional plan to end homelessness for all families. Terry and her family moved from San Diego, California to Nevada in 1982 and proudly calls Clark County her “home”.

Barbara Coggins

​Barbara Coggins has been with Family Promise of Las Vegas since 2005. She is a native of Chicago, Illinois and attended the University of Illinois where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science; a Master’s in Education; and a Master’s Degree in Counseling from The University of Phoenix. Barbara moved to Las Vegas in 1999 to accept a position with the Clark County School District, teaching at Charles I. West Middle School. Barbara also was the Regional Director of Education Station, an afterschool reading program until 2005. In 2005 she joined our staff full time and directed a HUD Housing Program for disabled families. Currently she assists the Executive Director with administration of all current programs.

Cherie Miller

Cherie Miller is the Client Advocate Specialist for the IHN shelter program. She has been with Family Promise of Las Vegas since 2014. She is a proud native of Texas and a veteran of the United States Army. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, and previously worked for the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services and the Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority.

Board of Directors

Chris Thornton – President

Chris currently serves as the Treasurer for Family Promise of Las Vegas. Since joining the board in 2016, he has relished the opportunity to empower families currently experiencing homelessness and to work throughout the Las Vegas valley to spread the Family Promise story. Holding both an MS in Finance and an MBA, Chris is a Senior Vice President with Credit One Bank. He lives with his wife, Sherri, and daughter, Emily.

Lisa Jones – Vice President

​​Lisa is a strong believer in education and wants all children to have the best possible chance to succeed. A stable home environment is a critical building block for that success. She has served on the board of Family Promise of Las Vegas for 9 years. In that time she has witnessed many families transition from homelessness to stability. Lisa holds a BA degree in Microbiology from the University of Colorado and a Masters in Public Administration from UNLV. She is retired from a 30-year career in public health with the Nevada State Health Division.

Claudia Widhalm – Treasurer

​​​Claudia is the Finance Manager for The Crossing, a Christian Church, since 2014. Previously she was the Chief Financial Officer for Templeton Development Corporation, a real estate development and construction company, for 17 years. She received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Northern Illinois University. Claudia is committed to the mission of Family Promise of Las Vegas and is honored to serve on it’s board since 2007.

Cindy Jensen – Secretary

​Cindy is the Chief Deputy Clerk for the U.S. District Court. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Sociology from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Judicial Administration from American University. Cindy has been involved with Family Promise since 2003 as a volunteer and a coordinator for Congregation Ner Tamid. Cindy first joined the Family Promise Board in 2006. She was happy to rejoin the Board in 2018.

Daniel Blue

Daniel is a 29 year old business owner of a company that recently got recognized by Inc 500 as one of the fastest growing companies in the country. He is a college drop out with a passion for business and sales. Daniel considers himself blessed to be married and the father of a 9 year old daughter. He is committed to giving back to others and grateful to have been part of the Las Vegas community since 2010.

Dottie Korkosz

​​Dottie Korkosz has a BA degree in Social Work and English from Valparaiso University. She has lived in the Las Vegas area since 1979 and owns her own media buying service. Dottie has volunteered in the Family Promise program many years at her church, Community Lutheran Church, and joined the Board of Directors in 2016. She believes that Family Promise provides an invaluable service to the Las Vegas community by bringing stability and hope to homeless families.

Kyle Townsend

Kyle has called Las Vegas home since 1996. After graduating from University of
Nevada, Las Vegas Kyle began his career in financial services as an analyst for Morgan
Stanley, eventually becoming a financial advisor Kyle enjoys giving back to the Las
Vegas community. He and his wife, Jessica, also enjoy exercise, cooking and spending
time with friends and family. Kyle is also an avid sports fan.

Dr. Annie Wilson

Dr. Annie Wilson is a life-long resident of Clark County. She has been married for over 25 years. Early on, Dr. Wilson realized that her true calling was working with diverse and at-risk populations, the community and courts. Dr. Wilson currently works with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department as the Homeless Liaison. Part of her job duties involves training, planning, organizing, leading and evaluating projects. She is also responsible for establishing, maintaining, and collaboration with other agencies that provide social, health, educational, and wraparound services. Dr. Wilson works part time as an Associate Faculty instructor at the University of Phoenix. Her volunteer work includes working with the youth, at-risk populations, volunteering at shelters, advocating for change and working with those in need of social services. Dr. Wilson has been involved with several committees and boards. Dr. Wilson has been recognized and received awards for her work in the community. Dr. Wilson is committed to improving the life of others.
